No threads, No bobbins, No limits!
The FM725 is easy to use and easily creates beautiful surface embellishments.

Imagine being able to join together materials without thread or a bobbin, without feed dogs, and without machine tensions. Would it still be sewing? Actually it would be needle punching, also called needle felting. In this process, specially barbed needles blend the fibres of two or more layers of fabric, yarns and other fibers.

The fibers mingle to create new color and texture combinations that simply cannot be achieved with embroidery, appliqué, or any other kind of needlework. In needle felting there is no "right side" or "wrong side." Whether you push the fibers through from the front or back depends on the effect you're trying to achieve. Experimentation is part of the fun.

The Janome FM725 lets you create astonishing effects by interweaving two or more fabrics, yarns, laces, scraps - whatever you can imagine. Create your own fabrics for apparel or home decoration; embellish your designs; craft and sculpt - without the need for thread or bobbin.

It doesn't matter if you can't sew; because all that's needed is your materials and a little imagination.
